7. Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha) in Lantau Island
Monks and visitors from around the world have come to see this famous statue of Buddha, and it’s image is even used on landmark stamps in Hong Kong. The statue, which is made of bronze, sits atop a lotus on a three-platform altar in Lantau Island.
The statue is over 34 meters tall, weighs over 250 metric tons, and was carefully crafted from over 200 individual bronze pieces. It stands today as a testimony of the harmonious relationship between nature and man, as well as faith and people.

8. Tao O Fishing Village in Lantau Island
